Ryan Goessl is a lyric baritone, originally from Northern Wisconsin, in the US. He is active in opera, oratorio, musical theater, voice acting, and also has an active voice studio in Seoul, South Korea.
In Ryan's voice studio, he teaches how to sing and speak with a natural, healthy, unobstructed voice. He works vigorously with students, developing healthy, natural vocal technique, that allows freedom, flexibility, and superior control. Major vocal influences include William Vennard, Barbara Doscher, and Richard Miller.
Ryan works with a variety of singers, including opera/classical, musical theater, pop, electronica, indie, rock, reggae, and jazz singers. His classical and musical theatre students perform regularly on the stages of Korea, Asia, and abroad, and can be heard on numerous recording labels. Many of his singers can be seen as the front men and women for many of the top bands in the Korean music scene, performing regularly in the Hongdae, Itaewon, and Kangnam music scenes, and on stages in musical theater opera and pop within Korea.
As a voice therapist, Ryan works with people who have damaged their voices and/or have diagnosed vocal problems, whether through degeneration, extensive use, injury, surgery, or any of a multitude of other factors that have left the vocal instrument damaged physically.
